William the Conqueror built Lincoln Castle, in 1068, on a strategic site that had once been used by the Romans. 166 families who were living on the site had their houses demolished and were forced to provide labour for the construction of the castle. The Fishing Heritage Centre is a museum at Alexandra Dock, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England, opened in 1991. Winning the Blue Peter Children’s Museum of the Year award in 1993. It depicts the 1950s heyday of the distant waters fishing fleet. The centre also hosts a programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Tours of the fishing trawler Ross Tiger are available.

A unique partnership between the Royal Air Force and Lincolnshire County Council provides the public with a gateway to the home of the BBMF at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire. Since opening its doors in 1986, the BBMF Visitor Centre has welcomed over 300,000 people, offering them the opportunity to see the Flight’s historic aircraft at close quarters and to observe the BBMF technicians working to maintain them in airworthy condition. Natureland is well known for rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and injured seal pups that become stranded on Lincolnshire beaches. Visitors can see the seals at various stages of their rehabilitation and hear about the rescue work at feeding times. There are lots more beautiful and amazing animals including penguins, tropical butterflies, reptiles, creepy crawlies, and tropical fish in the Aquarium. Skegness Natureland have also been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor!
